Hi I'm new here,
Thanks for having me. I recently purchased addon converter X and put it to the test and that seemed to have failed. I installed it took a while finding image tools in SDK but finaly did... everthing ok so far. I loaded the scenery I wanted to convert and addon X did it's thing or appeared to. I loaded up FSX but the scenery in question remained unchanged un fixed.
Here are the details: I'm trying to use Syncro soft's TNCE for FS2004 in FSX. We know the situation with FSX running FS9 scenery.. not the best. That's true because the scenery looks bad and distorted in FSX. After pre-processing then running FSX there is no change the scenery is still a mess in FSX please help
Thanks

Re: Converting Files issue
What issues do you have with the scenery? Is it flickering of the ground, missing buildings or missing textures?

Re: Converting Files issue
The Hills, mountains etc are way too large and geographical location of sections lanscape around the airport area are displaced & distorted thus things are out of proportion. The scenery itself shows ok no flickering but those things mention are distorted & misplaced, main problem the hills have become way too large

Re: Converting Files issue
Do the hills come from the add-on scenery? If you remove the add-on scenery, do the hills return to the right size?
Maybe you can post a screenshot showing the problem?

Re: Converting Files issue
Thanks for the replys at this moment I can't send any screenshots due to circumstances I have less time for FS at the moment. When I get to focus my attention again then we will take it further in the mean while, take my word for it the scenery is just distorted mountains/hills too big, pieces of scenery missing that kind of thing. These are things we already expect when running FS2004 scenery in FSX right?. By the way The addon scenery shows perfect in FS9. The problem hills/mountains etc in FSX, are all addon scenery default is no problem but I don't want the default otherwise we would'nt even be having this topic
The fact is addon x converter is advertised as the problem solver and it did not help me the scenery looks exactly as if I did'nt even own addon converter x so the software did nothing to correct the situation. This scenery issue is not a new situation this is something we all expect when running FS9 scenery in FSX. Addon converter x' s job is to fix it..... did'nt work.
I suggest someone please try it out for yourself: Syncrosoft scenery TNCE (FS2004) try running that in FSX and let us know the results try with and without addon converter x. Anyway untill I get back to this matter again I'll peep in somtimes to see if you make any progress until I find time for FSX again to take up this subject. What I really want to hear is someone showing me how I did something wrong, but until then for me addon converter x failed feels like wasted money.
Thanks
